Opuntiaficus-indica is an imported cactus from Tunisia in Iran. In the course of studying pest and disease associated with the cactus in Booshehr, Ilam and Kermanshah provinces, affected specimens of O. ficus-indica were collected and transferred to the laboratory in 2011- 2013. To isolate and purify the fungal agents, following macroscopic examination of the samples, small pieces of infected plant tissues were surface sterilized in 3% sodium hypochlorite and placed on Potato dextrose agar (PDA), Water agar (WA) and Carnation leaf agar (CLA) media. Based on morphological characters three fungi species of Fusarium solani (Mart.) Sacc., F. equiseti (Mart.) Sacc., Tel.: Emericella quadrilineata (Thom &Raper) C. R. Benj.with Ana.: Aspergillus quadrilineatus Thom & Raperwere were identified. This is the first report of these fungi species on O. ficus-indica host. As the cactus isn’t native to Iran, this is the first report of the fungal agents of O. ficus-indica in Iran.
