WoS ResearcherID Membership and Review Guide

WoS ResearcherID is a commercial website that provides a free service for academics to track, verify, and showcase their Peer-review and editorial contributions for academic journals. WoS ResearcherID produces a verified record of a person's review and editorial activity for journals, which can be downloaded to include in CVs, funding and job applications, and promotion and performance evaluations.

Your publications, citation metrics, peer reviews, and journal editing work can be centralized in the WoS ResearcherID system and promote your science and academia internationally.

WoS ResearcherID is a service that allows researchers to track and recognize reviews made internationally. Thus, after registering the reviews in the WoS ResearcherID system, the number of reviews is stored and displayed separately in the WoS ResearcherID system by the names of the journal.

After review of an article, the reviewer in a scientific journal must perform the following steps in order to register her/ his reviews in the WoS ResearcherID system:

  1. Registration in WoS ResearcherID.
  2. After registration and entering the information on the personal page, you will become a member of WoS ResearcherID and you will be notified via Email.
  3. After review of each article, enter your review in WoS ResearcherID.
  4. To add your own review to WoS ResearcherID, some journals ask you if you would like your review to be automatically added to WoS ResearcherID. Therefore, by clicking on the yes option below, the review will be automatically transferred and added to the WoS ResearcherID system.

2- Reviewers' Responsibilities 

If you have been invited by Ancient Iranian Studies's Editor-in-Chief to review a manuscript, please consider the following:

  1. Reviewing manuscript critically but constructively and preparing detailed comments about the manuscript to help authors improve their works
  2. Reviewing multiple versions of a manuscript as necessary
  3. Providing all required information within established deadlines
  4. Making recommendations to the editor regarding the suitability of the manuscript for publication in the journal
  5. Declaring to the editor any potential conflicts of interest with respect to the authors or the content of a manuscript they are asked to review
  6. Reporting possible research misconducts
  7. Suggesting alternative reviewers in case they cannot review the manuscript for any reasons
  8. Treating the manuscript as a confidential document
  9. Not making any use of the work described in the manuscript
  10. Not communicating directly with authors
  11. Not identifying themselves to authors
  12. Not passing on the assigned manuscript to another reviewer
  13. Ensuring that the manuscript is of high quality and original work
  14. Informing the editor if he/she finds the assigned manuscript is under consideration in any other publication to his/her knowledge
  15. .Writing review report in English only
