Abstract

The parasitoid Gelis caudator of the subfamily Cryptinae (family Ichneumonidae) is here recorded for the first time from Iran. The adult specimens of G. caudator were collected under the bark of host tree, Juniperus excelsa, where the overwintering larvae and pupae of the pest Argyresthis sp. (Lepidoptera, Yponomeutidae) were occurred. Some specimens emerged from the pupae of the host.
